Subgenres

  • DanceYou follow a song with your whole body, stepping on arrows on a dance mat or copying moves in front of a camera or with a motion controller, and the game scores your accuracy.
  • KaraokeYou sing into a microphone along with on-screen songs, and the game scores how well you match the pitch and timing of the original vocals.
  • RhythmYou press buttons, tap the screen or hit a plastic instrument exactly when the music says so; the tighter your timing with the beat, the more points you score.
